Don't want to lose our home

My husband and I just after finding out that we are pregnant with our first (his second) baby both ended up losing our jobs.  Right now we are trying to sell off all of our stuff to avoiding losing our house, or to make enough to fix up our house to sell.  I have nursing student loans and have been having trouble finding work due to being pregnant.  I am working as a temp nurse but that only amounts to a few days every couple of weeks.  My husband has found work but is not making enough to support all of us.  We are due on Halloween and were really hoping that by some miracle, we would have some of our debt taken care of and actually have some money in savings.  We hate to bring a child into a mess that we really had no control over.  I am afraid that my husband is going to make himself very sick with all of the stress between money and baby and anything else that comes up.  If anyone can please help.  We can't understand how people that destroy themselves can be making so much money and wasting so much money.  We are good people.  We don't drink, smoke or use drugs.  We always play by the rules and feel as though we are being punished for it somehow.  There are so many people out there with more than enough that are behaving illegally.  It's very discouraging.  I thank you for reading and caring.
